Bust-length strict-profile portrait of a man facing left, inspired by ancient Roman sculpture. Heavily shaded throughout, especially around the eye and cheekbone. He is identified by large, ancient-inspired text at left beneath the chin: " AVGVSTVS / CAESAR"
