- Description
- Horizontal rectangle. Design for a chimney piece intended to be executed in marble and bronze. Gaines with women, who support with their outside arms the entablature, are standing upon bases in front of the lateral pillar stripes. The frieze is decorated with half-figures of winged monsters standing symmetrically beside a candelabrum. In the intervals stand athletes holding crossed reins. Below is the plan and the scale.
