Half-length portrait in three-quarter view towards right. The sitter is standing, leaning on his left arm. Inscribed, lower left: "Cav Capalti dip"; center: "Prof Valeri dis"; lower right: "L. Ceroni inc."; below: dedication to Cardinal Giuseppe Mezzofanti in Italian.
