Description
A bird’s eye view of the gardens of the palace of Fontainebleau. A large rectangular basin/ pond in the background with sailboats, surrounded by trees. In the foreground, a smaller basin framed by jets of water, ramps on either side, with gates below. Figures, horseman, and horse-drawn carriages throughout the grounds. Details are lettered with a legend below. Plate is titled.
