- Description
- Design for a square or rectangular ceiling with a detailed view of one end. The center is blank and framed by an egg repeat pattern molding. The border is decorated with ornament framed by leaf repeat pattern moldings. The ornament features winged putti torsos, mask (mascaron), shell, rosettes, ram’s heads, festoons of leaves, ribbons, foliate scrolls, scrolling leaves (rinceaux), a vase, cartouche with female figures, cornucopia of fruit, and arms and armor. The plate is numbered and signed.
