Description
Design for an interior wall. An arched niche in center with a sculptural fountain depicting a male herm or merman seizing a female figure, who stands with arms raised. Below, a woman holding a staff pilots a chariot led by dolphins. A wall painting within the surrounding niche; at top, a group of fish, net, and a triton. At either side, small pedestals with a putti group with fruit at left and a vase or urn at right. Above them, panels display different decorative schemes. Scale at lower left.
