Description
Landscape sketch showing a partially veiled view of the volcano known as Chimborazo in Ecuador. The middle distance comprises of rugged, brown, and barren mountainous terrain that stretches horizontally across the composition. In the background at center, the conical, snow-capped peak of Chimborazo is visible through a dense bank of low-lying clouds, which appear to be breaking up to reveal a view of the blue sky at left.
