- Description
- Landscape sketch showing a view of the volcano in Ecuador known as Cotopaxi, erupting. The terrain and the cone of the volcano are left unrendered, while only its smoke and the sky are shown in color. The plume of ash and smoke rises in a tight billowing formation at center, before dispersing into an immense cloud at right as it is carried by the wind. In the background, a long bank of white clouds hangs in an otherwise blue sky.
