Distant Iceberg, Canada

Object Details

Catalogue Status
Research in Progress
Description
Seascape sketch showing a view of a distant iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland or Labrador, Canada. Dark blue, rippling water extends across the foreground, through the middle distance, and into the background where it meets the greenish-yellow hazy sky. On the horizon at center left, the top of a craggy white, distant iceberg is faintly visible. At right, a gently sloping coastline is visible and extends out of frame. Closer to the middle distance at center left, a figure in a rowboat is also included.
