Description
Landscape sketch showing an oblique view of the Aletsch Glacier near Belalp, Switzerland, and the surrounding mountain ridges. At center, the rocky ridge upon which the artist stands extends directly into the distance. At right, the undulating, icy furrows of the slowly flowing glacier are rendered in white gouache.
