Little Church near Bel Alp, Switzerland

Object Details

Catalogue Status
Research in Progress
Description
Architecture and landscape sketch showing a view of a small church in the village of Belalp, Switzerland. Perched on the slopes of the Bernese Alps by the Rhone Valley, the church is situated on a curving, uneven prominence. The building itself has white walls, two windows facing the viewer, a shingled roof, and a narrow conical belltower--visible at center. In the background at left and right, the sharp, snow-strewn peaks of nearby alps peek up over the ridge.
