- Landscape study with multiple views of the volcano Cotopaxi in Ecuador. In upper portion, the steaming volcano rises from behind other hills and mountains. More distant mountain visible at right, crowned in clouds. Clouds and snow on Cotopaxi's slopes rendered in white gouache. In lower half, outline of Cotopaxi with steam visible at left; at right, outline of other distant mountain.
