- Sketches from Ecuador showing a detailed view of a large-leaved plant and a local figure. Dominating the composition at right, the visibly ribbed leaves of the plant, which may be a xanthosoma (locally termed "elephant ears"), spread out in multiple directs. Two prominently leaves show themslves at left and right. In the upper left corner, a local Ecuadorian individual is shown wearing a colorful ruana and a hat.
