Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of several houses on a hilltop overlooking rolling terrain in Italy, with other buildings visible in the background at right. At center, a large villa is perched atop the hill's highest point, while at least two other buildings are situated to its left. One building spews a column of smoke from its chimney. Horizon comprised of rolling hills.
Verso: Landscape sketch showing a view of a cave entrance on a body of water in Italy. At center, the rough, undulating forms of the rock face are illuminated by light reflect off of the water. Forms are indistinct and nearly abstract.
