- Landscape and architecture sketches showing two stacked views of buildings on an abrupt hill in the town of Narni, Italy. Above, a complex of at least three buildings is situated on a rocky prominence. Below, a larger collection of structures is also situated on a wide stone foundation with two large arches atop a rocky hill.
- Verso: Mixed sketches from Narni, Italy, showing Albornoz Fortress, three figures, and trees. In the upper portion, a view of Albornoz Fortress is shown, with its prominent rectangular tower at right. In the middle section, a woman with a dress looks back over her shoulder at left, and at center, a figure is viewed from behind, and at right, a carriage driver is shown with whip in hand. In lower portion and oriented to the right, a grove of shaded trees is shown beside a loose sketch of an individual tree.
