Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of two figures in a canoe on a pond in or near Hartford, Connecticut. In the foreground at right, barren, leafless trees line the bank and frame the scene. The pond itself extends around curving banks into the background, where more leafless trees grow on distant banks. Above, puffy clouds are faintly rendered in the sky.
