Mount Chimborazo, Ecuador

Object Details

Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of Mt. Chimborazo and a valley near Guaranda in Ecuador. The mountain's rounded, snow-capped summit peaks over a range of rugged brown mountains as low-lying clouds hang at upper left. In the foreground, a figure wearing a red serape is shown at lower center, and seemingly looks at the mountain. At right, hacienda buildings are visible, while, at left, a rise in the terrain is cultivated with agricultural crops. The middle distance comprises of rolling green and brown, mountainous terrain that extend to the rugged mountain range beyond. The sky above is a warm tone of orange-yellow.
