Formerly in the collection of Eugene Staman (John Eugene Staman, 1894-1930, of Washington Boro, Pennsylvania) and probably collected by him at an unknown date; donated to MAI by Eugene Staman in 1916 during the Susquehanna River Expedition, led by archaeologist Warren K. Moorehead (1866-1939) and sponsored by MAI.
