- Collection history unknown; possibly collected by Reverend Smith Stanley Osterhout (1868-1953), a missionary who worked with tribes in the Vancouver area after 1893; presumably transferred to Henry Stadthagen (1864-1927, a Victoria, British Columbia, dealer in Indian arts) at an unknown date; purchased by George Heye from Henry Stadthagen in 1905.
