Collection history unknown; formerly owned by Mrs. Spalding; probably from her by Reverend Henry Clarkson Meredith (1861-1908, a collector and amateur archaeologist in the Stockton, California, area) at an unknown date; purchased by Henry K. Deisher (1867-1951, the owner of a textile mill in Kutztown, Pennsylvania) from Reverend Meredith at an unknown date; purchased by George Heye from Henry Deisher in 1915.
