Commissioned from the artist by Augustana College (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) and presented to Emil Her Many Horses (Oglala Lakota, NMAI staff member) when he received Augustana College's 2008 Alumni Achievement Award; donated to NMAI by Emil Her Many Horses in 2009.
