Finger ring

Object Details

Collection History
Purchased by Indian Arts and Crafts Board representatives from an unknown source in 1956; part of the IACB Headquarters collection (Department of the Interior, Washington, DC) until 2000 when it was transferred to NMAI. In addition to collecting and encouraging Native arts, IACB also acquired items that exploited Native designs and used them in educational exhibits to demonstrate the differences between authentic Indian work and imitations.
