- Made while the artist served as an instructor for an IACB metalworking workshop at Sitka, Alaska, in 1964 or 1965; purchased by Indian Arts and Crafts Board representatives from the artist in 1965; part of the IACB Headquarters collection (Department of the Interior, Washington, DC) until 2000 when it was transferred to NMAI.
