Collected by Felix V. DiGiovanni (1909-1990, an explorer and photographer) while traveling and making an ethnographic film in Colombia between 1933 and the early 1940s; donated to NMAI in 1992 by his wife Pauline G. DiGiovanni (1915-2005).
