Textile design commissioned from the artist by Scottdale Textile Mills (Scottdale, Georgia) between 1948 and 1952; formerly in the collection of Scottdale Mills; acquired by Theodore (Ted) Stone (Theodore Nathaniel Silberstein, 1917-2000) in the early 1980s when the Mills closed; donated to NMAI by Ted Stone in 1993.
