Purchased by Helen Pep Grodka (1898-1982, an artist and Native American art enthusiast) in 1980 in a shop in the Denver, Colorado, airport; donated to MAI in 1982 by Helen Pep Grodka's daughter and son-in-law, Sonia Grodka Blumenthal and Harry W. Blumenthal (1924-2013).
