Probably collected by Mary Wickham Roe (1863-1941) during travel in Latin America in the 1930s; sent to or inherited by Mrs. Roe's sister, Elizabeth Merwin Roe Page (Mrs. Alfred R. Page, 1861-1943); inherited by Mrs. Page's daughter, Marjorie Page Schauffler (Mrs. Bennet Fellows Schauffler, 1897-1983); donated to MAI by Mrs. Schauffler in 1981.
