Collected or purchased from an unknown source by George Heye after 1919; removed from the MAI collection and exchanged by MAI to the Vassar Brothers Institute (an educational society in Poughkeepsie, New York) in 1928; returned to MAI as a gift from the Vassar Brothers Institute in 1948.
