Collected or purchased from local residents between 1944 and 1947 by amateur archaeologist Dr. Robert Ceough (1898-1947, born Albert J.C. Kretzmann, a professor of public speaking and theatre at the City College of New York); possibly bequeathed to the Hispanic American Society in New York City; donated to MAI in 1966 by the Hispanic American Society.
