Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Gisele Charat (1912-1985); purchased by MAI from Gisele Charat in 1965 using funds donated by Dr. Arthur Sackler (1913-1987, a New York City physician, philanthropist, and art collector) and his wife Dr. Marietta Lutze Sackler (1919-2019).
