Collected by Western artist Western artist Joseph Imhof (1871-1955) and his wife Sarah Imhof (1872-1966) when they lived in Albuquerque and Taos, New Mexico, between 1904 and the mid-1940s; donated to MAI by Mrs. Imhof in 1963.
