Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Ida Casey Dyer (Mrs. Daniel Burns Dyer, 1864-1921), whose Indian art collection was purchased by the St. Louis Museum (associated with Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri) from Ida Dyer after 1905; purchased by MAI from Washington University in 1960.
