Collection History
Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Joseph S. Evans and his wife Pauline Evans, who collected items related to Niimíipuu (Nez Perce) history and culture from the 1930s until the early 1960s and operated the Sacajawea Museum in Spalding, Idaho; acquired by The Museum Shop (a business dealing in books and antiquarian items in Mabton, Washington) at an unknown date; purchased by MAI from The Museum Shop in 1961.
