Formerly in the collection of Jake Tingley (1880-1965), who ran an Indian trading store and pawn shop in Anadarko, Oklahoma, from about 1901 onward; purchased by Native art historian and collector Norman Feder (1930-1995) from Jake Tingley; purchased by MAI from Norman Feder in 1961.
