Surrendered to General George Crook (1830-1890) at Fort Bowie, Arizona in 1886 by Goyathlay (Geronimo, c. 1825-1909); acquired by Colonel Eugene Beaumont (1837-1926, U.S. Cavalry) at the time of surrender; inherited by Colonel Beaumont's grandson Edmund B. Beaumont (1907-1999); donated to MAI by Edmund B. Beaumont in 1953.
