Collection History
Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Reverend George Coolidge Hooding (1871-1924, Bishop of the Diocese of Utah and Nevada); acquired by Sally Coolidge Vance (Sarah Lucy Coolidge/Sarah Coolidge Rowlodge, Northern Arapaho, 1907-1953, who may have been related to Reverend Hooding) at an unknown date; purchased from Sally Coolidge Vance in 1935 by Irvin S. Cobb (1876-1944, a New York City author, journalist, and humorist); purchased by MAI in 1945 from Irvin Cobb's widow, Laura Spencer Cobb (1876-1967), with funds donated by William Shirley Fulton (1880-1964, an archaeologist, founder of the Amerind Foundation in Dragoon, Arizona, and MAI trustee).
