- Collection history unknown, but probably collected by Agnes Bates Wellington (Mrs. Arthur M. Wellington, 1849-1937) when she spent a year travelling with her close friend Elizabeth Bacon Custer (1842-1934) and General George Armstrong Custer (1839-1876) circa 1875; donated to MAI by Agnes Bates Wellington in 1937.
