Collection history unknown; formerly in the collection of Evoryna May Babington Brodhurst (Mrs. Norman Robert Brodhurst, 1882-1974) or that of her brother Hume Blackley Babington (1871-1934, a ship captain in Vancouver and Prince Rupert); purchased by MAI in 1937 from Evoryna Brodhurst through William A. Newcombe (1884-1960, a Vancouver, British Columbia, collector).
