Collection History
Probably collected by Captain Thomas Connolly (1851-1900), who served in western Indian campaigns and was Indian agent at the Round Valley Agency between about 1893 and 1897; inherited by his widow Mary Alice Connolly (ca. 1864-1933) and subsequently by their daughter Vera Leona Connolly (1888-1964, a journalist and magazine editor); donated to MAI by Vera Connelly in 1934.
