Collected during the Fifth Thule Expedition (1921-1924), led by Danish explorer Knud Rasmussen (1879-1933); formerly in the collection of the Nationalmuseet (National Museum, Copenhagen, Denmark); acquired by MAI through an exchange with the Nationalmuseet in 1928.
