Saville (1867-1935) for MAI trustee James B. Ford (1844-1928) in 1924 at an auction of the Benguiat collection held at the Anderson Galleries (New York City); in the collection of James B. Ford or Thea (Mrs. George) Heye between 1924 and 1928; donated to MAI by Thea Heye in 1928.
