- Said to have been brought to Wisconsin by the Stockbridge Mahican, probably before 1840; collected by Alanson B. Skinner (1886-1925, MAI staff member) when he was on the staff of the Milwaukee Public Museum (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) between 1920 and 1924, acquired by MAI through an exchange with the Milwaukee Public Museum in 1925.
