- Collected in 1885 by Miss Jennie Dixon (ca. 1848-ca. 1930, a teacher from Pennsylvania who probably taught at the St. Paul's Mission Indian school in Marty, South Dakota); transferred at an unknown date to Henrietta Potter James (Mrs. Walter M. James, 1854-1941, who was associated with the University Museum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); donated to MAI by Mrs. James in 1925.
