Collection history unknown; purchased in 1924 by anthropologist Mark Raymond Harrington (1882-1971, MAI staff member) from Cohn’s Emporium (Carson City, Nevada), an Indian arts and basket store operated by Abe Cohn (1859-1934), during fieldwork sponsored by MAI.
