- Collected in 1912 by Edgar Roquette-Pinto (1884-1954) of the Rondon Commission (a project to expand telegraph service in the Brazilian Amazon); subsequently in the collection of the Museu Nacional do Rio De Janeiro (National Museum of Brazil); acquired by MAI through an exchange with the Museu Nacional in 1922.
