April 27 This porcelain bust manufactured by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, Saint Petersburg, Russia, depicts Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev (who was born on this day in 1891). Prokofiev was a pianist, conductor, and classical composer. His works include sonatas concertos, ballets, operas, and symphonies. He is often considered among the greatest classical composers of the 20th century.
